Property For Sale Parker Denver

Parker may have incorporated only in 1981, but its history stretches back further than that.  The town as we know it today had its beginnings in Pine Grove, a travelers’ refuge established by Alfred Butters at around 1863.  The building was eventually sold to the Long family who expanded it into a full-fledged way station that came to be called the 20 Mile House because it was 20 miles south of Denver on the Cherokee Trail.

This was the area’s first property for sale; Parker, Denver’s close neighbor, was an important stop in the gold-seeker’s route during the Colorado Gold Rush.  It was the building’s enterprising fifth owner, a certain James Parker, who earned the honor of having the town named after him.  Part of the 20 Mile House still stands today in Parker’s 20 Mile Historic Park.

The town’s historic feel adds a certain something to its property for sale.  Parker, Denver’s most charming suburb, has kept some of its Victorian Old West spirit, resulting in a town that is both down-to-earth and refined.
Though it’s now home to more than 40,000 people, Parker remains a small town kind of community.  Folks here work hard to preserve their town’s warm and inviting atmosphere.  Parker holds many events where the entire community can participate and where people can get to meet their neighbors.
Parker is the hometown you didn’t know you had.  Contact Julia Saunders to find out how you can be a part of this vibrant community.
